Final Approval and Going Live
What to do
Do one last full review of everything you entered, then submit your title for IngramSpark's final approval.
Why it matters
Same principle as the KDP final review earlier in this stage: this is your last chance to catch a mistake before the title becomes visible to IngramSpark's much wider network of retailers, wholesalers, and libraries.
Step-by-step
- Re-read your title, subtitle, contributors, description, categories, ISBN, and pricing/distribution settings one more time, exactly as they'll appear to a bookstore buyer or librarian browsing IngramSpark's catalog.
- Confirm you've already gone through file review and, ideally, a physical proof copy, don't submit for final approval as a substitute for actually checking those.
- Submit your title. IngramSpark will run a final review before the title status changes to live and searchable in its catalog; this can take longer than KDP's typical review window, so don't expect it instantly.
- Once live, you can still make changes (a corrected description, a new cover, a price update), but remember IngramSpark's revision fee applies to some post-setup changes, so it's worth getting things right before this final submission rather than relying on being able to freely fix it after.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Submitting for final approval before actually reviewing the physical proof or reading through IngramSpark's file review warnings.
- Assuming "live" on IngramSpark means the same thing as "live" on KDP, it means the title passed IngramSpark's review and is now available for retailers, wholesalers, and libraries to order, not that any of them are guaranteed to actually order it.

Troubleshooting
My IngramSpark title has been in review longer than I expected. Is something wrong?
Review times vary and IngramSpark's process has historically run slower than KDP's more-automated one, especially for a title's first submission. Check your IngramSpark account for a specific status message, or contact IngramSpark support directly rather than resubmitting.
Do I need to do anything on KDP to "finish" this if I'm publishing on both platforms?
No, the two platforms are independent once both titles are live. Each has its own review, its own sales reporting, and its own royalty/earnings payout; going live on one doesn't require or affect the other.
